We won’t be seeing Andrei Markov in the Canadiens lineup before late January or early February. And that estimate presupposes any further setbacks in the rehabilitation of his surgically rebuilt right knee.
Markov underwent successful arthroscopic surgery near Pensacola Florida today, a procedure to flush out leftover debris from last December’s reconstructive ligament surgery.
In other news – As expected the Canadiens sent centre Andreas Engqvist back to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Engqvist had remained on the Canadiens roster because of a lower body injury he suffered November 14th. It’s healed, allowing the Canadiens to re-assign him.
