The Grand Rapids Griffins beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-2 Saturday night in only 24 hours after losing to Hamilton by the same score.   With the win the Griffins reclaim third place in the AHL’s North Division a point ahead of the Bulldogs.  The game was tied at 2 after two periods before Grand Rapids scored three unanswered goals.

Andreas Engqvist and Dany Masse scored for the Bulldogs.  It was the team-leading 16th goal of the season for Engqvist.

Gustav Nyquist scored twice for the Griffins with Fabian  Brunnstrom, Mitch Callahan and Francis Pare scoring the others.  Grand Rapids is the Detroit Red Wings farm team.
