Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Myers will forfeit $14,189.19. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

Shanahan says in his ruling that part of his decision was based on the fact that Gomez was “injured on the play” something that has never been revealed by the Canadiens.
As for Myers, he suspected there was going to be supplementary discipline. He told the Buffalo News Tuesday morning prior to the hearing, “I’m probably expecting something. We’ll see what happens. Whatever they decide, I’ll have to live with.”
