Toronto Marlies forward Greg Scott scored a power play goal with 2:05 remaining  to break a 1-1 tie and Toronto added an empty net goal for a 3-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs in an AHL exhibition game at Cobourg Ontario.

Stephen MacAuley, who played last year in the QMJHL with St. John’s, scored the lone goal for Hamilton early in the first period.  Brad Ross and Greg McKegg scored the other Toronto goals.

Robert Mayer played the entire game in goal for Hamilton.  Ben Scrivens and Mark Owuya shared the Toronto netminding duties.

Among Hamilton regulars not dressed for the game were forward Louis Leblanc and defenseman Frederic St. Denis.

The teams will meet again on Monday in Brantford Ontario.  The Bulldogs regular season will open next Saturday in Grand Rapids Michigan.
