BULLDOGS RELEASE FOUR-Roster at 24-Goaltending Decision Pending

The final Hamilton Bulldogs decision will involve goaltending.   Cedrick Desjardins is expected to be number one after returning to the Canadiens organization as an unrestricted free agent.  Czech-born/Swiss citizen Robert Mayer has been a backup in Hamilton the last two seasons after starting his professional career in Cincinnati.  Peter Delmas has spent most of the last two seasons with Wheeling in the ECHL.

HAMILTON, ON – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Club has released defencemen Étienne Boutet, Antoine Corbin and Kevin Gagne and forward Stephen MacAulay.  Boutet will return to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rimouski Oceanic, Corbin to the Western Hockey League’s Prince Albert Raiders and Gagne and MacAulay to the QMJHL’s Saint John Sea Dogs.  24 players now remain on the Hamilton Bulldogs training camp roster.

The ‘Dogs will wrap-up training camp with practices at Wave Twin Rinks, located at 1179 Northside Road in Burlington, Ontario, on Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 am and on Friday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m.
