Henrik Zetterberg – 2 goals 2 assists vs.Biel Tuesday

Raphael Diaz was part of Zug’s 7-4 SNL home ice win Tuesday over Biel in a game featured by Henrik Zetterberg’s 2 goals and 2 assists.  On the losing side, a jet-lagged Patrick Kane had a goal and assist.  The Bruins Tyler Seguin registered an assist.

At Lugano, Geneva-Servette scored two goals in the final 3:03 to come from behind for a 4-3 win.   Yannick Weber with an assist and two shots on goal for Geneva.  Logan Couture with a goal and assist.   Patrice Bergeron led Lugano with a goal and two assists.

…..In the Czech Republic, Tomas Plekanec is one of seven NHLer’s selected to play for the Czech National team by coach Alois Hadamczik for the upcoming four-team Karjala tournament at Turku, Finland. Plekanec’s linemates Jaromir Jagr and Jiri Tlusty plus defenseman Marek Zidlicky  all from Kladno.   Participating in the tourament along with the Czechs are Finland, Sweden and Russia.


Tim Bozon – Kamloops Blazers

…..In the WHL – The Kamloops Blazers beat the Everett Washington Silvertips 3-2 in a shootout, their 14th win in a row.   Canadiens 2012 third round draft pick Tim Bozon  extended his scoring streak to eight games with an assist on the goal that tied the game at 2.  During the streak Bozon has eight goals and 9 assists.  Overall in 17 games he has 14 goals and 16 assists-31 points.   Kamloops has started the season 16-0-1.

In the Swiss league Geneva will play at Biel Friday and on the same day Zug goes to Bern.

……The Vityaz three game Urals road trip continues at Yekatarinburg  (1600 kiloometres and two time zones from Moscow) against Automobilist Sverdlovsk Wednesday.  Andrei Markov won’t play.     Ak Bars (Alexei Emelin) hosts Yaroslavl Lokomotiv also on Wednesday.  Yaroslavl is sponsored by Russian Railways.

…..Tomas Plekanec‘s next Kladno Knights Czech Extraliga game will be Friday at Pardubice against the Vitkovice Steelers.  The Moravian city of Pardubice is goaltender Dominek Hašek’s hometown and where he played the first eight years of his professional hockey career..

…..The Hamilton Bulldogs will next play a home and home set  with the Americans; Friday in Rochester  and Saturday at Copps Coliseum.

…..Among the juniors, following a five game road trip after losing their arena for Skate Canada Windsor and Brady Vail will host the London Knights Thursday.  On Friday, Alex Galchenyuk and Sarnia will host Plymouth.

…..Kamloops Blazers (Tim Bozon) of the WHL will play at Kelowna on Thursday.
