Time to make it official! Moving on to second

The 36 year old Darche played in 250 NHL games scoring 30 goals and 42 assist with Columbus, Nashville, San Jose, Tampa Bay and the Canadiens.   He played 149 games with the Canadiens scoring 22 goals and 48 points.  The Canadiens originally signed him as an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2009.  He played the first half of the 2009-2010 season with the Hamilton Bulldogs before being promoted to the parent club.

Darche again became an unrestricted free agent last summer.  He spent the early part of this season with the New Jersey Devils under a professional tryout contract but was never signed.  He left the Devils two weeks ago.

Darche was very prominent with the NHLPA during the recent CBA negotiations.
