Tomas Plekanec took his usual spot between Michael Ryder and Brian Gionta at the game day skate Saturday morning at the Canadiens Brossard Training Centre raising speculation that he will be available for the game against the Bruins.
Plekanec suffered what was described as a minor groin pull against Philadelphia Wednesday and missed Thursday’s game against Winnipeg. His status has always been described as “day to day”. Coach Michel Therrien said a decision on Plekanec will be made after the pre-game warmup.’ Unless the groin injury tightens up, odds seem very good he’ll be in the lineup.
Rene Bourque skated with his teammates and could make his return to the lineup as early as next week. The Canadiens will have a full practice Monday. If things go well there, Bourque could be in the Canadiens lineup on Tuesday against Washington.
