Defenceman Greg Pateryn scored 3:53 into overtime to give the Hamilton Bulldogs a 2-1 win over the Toronto Marlies Thursday afternoon before over 16-thousand fans at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. It was the Bulldogs first win in six games, moving their record to 13-14-4 for the season.
Joonas Nattinen scored the other Hamilton goal. Toronto defenceman T.J. Brenan tied the game with eight minutes left to send it into overtime.
In overtime, Pateryn put home a rebound off a shot by defenceman Jarred Tinordi to seal the win for Hamilton.
Dustin Tokarski made 18 saves on 19 shots in the Bulldogs net in the win. Drew MacIntyre made 38 saves on 40 shots for the Marlies.
Notes –
……The Bulldogs remain in fourth place in the AHL North Division two points behind second place Rochester and four behind the division leading Marlies.
…..The Bulldogs will play the Marlies again Friday at Copps Coliseum in Toronto and complete a three games in three days stretch in Utica on Saturday.
