Game Notes –

…….UPDATE – Daniel Briere will return to the Canadiens lineup replacing Ryan White who has an upper body injury.  Defenceman Raphael Diaz will be a healthy scratch; replaced by Alexei Emelin.

……This is the Canadiens first game at the Bell Centre since December 17th.  In their six game road trip their record was 3-2-1.  They were outscored 22-17 in those games.

…….Ottawa has won three straight and four of their last five.  The wins have been against Pittsburgh, Boston, Washington and Winnipeg.

……A fourth straight win would be a season high.

……The Canadiens have a four game regular season home winning streak vs. Ottawa.  In those games, P.K. Subban has a goal and five assists.

……The Senators are at .500 for the first time since November 18th when they were 8-8-4.

……Tomas Plekanec was named the third different winner of the Molson Cup Saturday.  Plekanec had one first, three second and two third star selections during December to follow Max Pacioretty (November) and Carey Price (October).

……Craig Anderson will get his fourth straight start in goal for Ottawa. Robin Lehner was in goal for the Senators when they beat the Canadiens 4-1, November 7th.

……Anderson allowed seven goals while starting all three games of the Senators current winning streak. He is 5-6-1 lifetime in the regular season versus Montreal.
