….. The Canadiens have lost two of the last three and five of the last eight games.  They have also lost three of their last four games on the road

….. The Canadiens have failed to put together consecutive wins since Dec. 21 and 28 when they beat the Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning on either side of the Christmas break.   Montreal has only won in consecutive games once in their past 16 games.
