Game Notes

…..Newcomer Dale Weise will play on the right side on the fourth line with Michael Bournival and Ryan White who is returning after missing 14 games with a shoulder injury.  Travis Moen is out with a lower body injury.  Otherwise, no changes in the lines or defense pairings – Bouillon and Parros are again healthy scratches.

…..During the lockout Weise played for the Tilburg Trappers of the Dutch Premier League where he scored 48 points in 19 games including 22 goals.  Over there they called him the  “Dutch Gretzky”.

..The last time the Canadiens beat the Calgary in regulation time was a 4-1 win Dec. 9, 2008. (Robert Lang with two goals and an assist}  The Canadiens recorded a 5-4 overtime win at the Bell Centre January 17/2011.  P.K. Subban scored the winner. The Canadiens blew a 4-0 lead in that game with Alex Auld in goal.  Carey Price finished the game.  Since then the Flames have won four straight.

.The Canadiens have two wins their last eight games (2-5-1)

.The Habs are 10-12-3 in their past 25 games.  

….The Canadiens have had 81 power play opportunities over those 25 games scoring 10 goals  or 12.3%.  Through the first 31 games the power play was operating at 22.7%. (25/110)

..Swiss born rookie Reto Berra will start in goal for the Flames after Karri Ramo suffered a knee injury Saturday against Minnesota.

..Berra has allowed 13 goals on 77 shots (.831save%) his last four appearances and 0-6-0 in his last seven starts. .  His overall record is 7-14-2 and 0-14 in games decided in regulation.

…..Calgary has been forced to make a goaltender switch in three of the current five game winning streak.

 Michael Cammalleri returned Saturday after missing nine games with a concussion. Cammalleri will face the Canadiens for the first time since they traded him to the Flames in January 2012.  He was out with a wrist injury when the teams met in October.  The Canadiens got Rene Bourque and a 2013 second round draft pick in return for Cammalleri.  The Canadiens used the draft choice to acquire goaltender Zach Fucale.

..Defenseman P.K. Subban has a goal and three assists in his last 14 games.
