Canadiens coach Jacques Martin has decided that his best chance to extend the series against the Washington Capitals is to have Jaroslav Halak as his goaltender.
Semyon Varlamov will again be the Capitals goaltender.

Jaroslav Spacek did not make the trip to Washington so the lineup will be basically the same as the one that lost 6-3 to the Capitals on Wednesda
