BRUINSHABSThe Canadiens open their seven game exhibition schedule Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins.  The Canadiens will play the first four of those games over a six game span this week including back to back games Thursday at the Bell Centre and then Friday in Quebec City against Patrick Roy’s Colorado Avalanche.

The Bruins bring the minimum eight “veteran” players to Montreal for Tuesday’s game including front line forwards David Krejci, Loui Eriksson and Carl Soderberg plus defenseman Dennis Seidenberg.  Simon Gagne will also be in Boston’s lineup under a tryout contract. (You can read the NHL Exhibition ‘veteran participation rule’ below).  Canadiens nemesis Milan Lucic has been kept out of much of early training camp because of a wrist injury.

Malcolm Subban will be in goal for half of the game but the Canadiens have elected to sit brother P.K. out of this one.

Tomas Plekanec will centre a line with rookies Jiri Sekac and Jacob De La Rose.  Nikita Scherbak will be back; this time on a line with rookie centre Charles Hudon and left wing Rene Bourque.
