The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Hunter Bishop has been reassigned to the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League.   Bishop,  who is from Fairbanks Alaska, missed the first part of the season with an upper body injury suffered in training camp.

Bishop, 23, played in nine regular season games with the Bulldogs last year, earning five points (two goals, three assists). In 12 post-season games with Hamilton, the native of Fairbanks, Alaska recorded one assist and six penalty minutes. Prior to joining the ‘Dogs the 6-foot, 185-pound forward played two seasons at Ohio State University from 2008-2010 recording 58 points (29 goals, 29 assists) in 75 games. Bishop was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens on March 19, 2010.
