In their opening games of the season, the Canadiens were 3-1 winners in Toronto. Boston lost 6-2 to Winnipeg at home Thursday.

….The Bruins last lost their first two games of a season in 2005-2006.

….This is the first of five regular season meetings between the Canadiens and Bruins.

….The Canadiens have won five consecutive regular season games against Boston and ten of the last eleven. The last Bruins win over the Canadiens was March 12th 2014.

….The Canadiens have not won six straight against them since a 12 game winning streak between 2006 and 2009.
