Notes –

….This was Eddie Pasquale‘s first AHL goaltending start since Feb. 5, 2014 when he was also with the IceCaps who were at the time a Winnipeg affiliate. Pasquale missed all of last season following hip surgery.

….Bud Holloway assisted on the only IceCaps goal and maintained his lead in the AHL scoring race with 15 points in 13 games (4g, 11a).

….Michael McCarron assisted on the Carr goal and was involved in his first pro hockey fight in the first period when he tangled with former Canadien Tom Kostopoulos.

….Mark Barberio‘s six game point scoring streak came to an end but he continues to lead all AHL defensemen with ten points (1g, 9a)

….St. John’s head coach Sylvain Lefebvre juggled his lines for this game moving McCarron up to centre Holloway and Daniel Carr. He moved Charles Hudon to left wing with Jacob de la Rose at centre and Sven Andrighetto on the right side.

….The IceCaps injury list includes forwards Nikita Scherbak, Tim Bozon and Connor Crisp plus defenseman Ryan Johnston.
