icecaps IVDaniel Carr scored at 17:05 of the third period to tie the game and Gabriel Dumont scored in the fourth round of the shootout as the St. John’s IceCaps came back from a 3-0 deficit to edge the Hershey Bears 4-3 Saturday night. The IceCaps trailed 3-0 at the end of the first period. Defensemen Brett Lernout and Morgan Ellis scored in the second period to narrow it to 3-2 and set up Carr’s tieing goal.
Stanislav Galiev scored twice with Sean Collins with the other Hershey goal.

Shots on goal were even at 38-38. Zach Fucale was in goal for St. John’s.

The IceCaps finish their six game road trip with a 2-4-0 record. They return to St. John’s to face the Toronto Marlies next Friday and Saturday with a 7-5-2 season record.
