….This is the third game of a four game road trip. They lost the first two games in Columbus and Brooklyn by identical 5-2 scores. Prior to that they had a three game win streak (Anaheim, Los Angeles & Edmonton.

….Over their last nine games the Coyotes have given up an average of 3.56 goals per game and have posted a 4-5-0 record.

….Thirteen of the Coyotes 19 points have beeen registered on the road. They have lost the first two games of their current road trip in Columbus and then at Long Island on Monday. Prior to that they had a three game win streak vs. Anaheim, Los Angeles and Edmonton.

….39 year old Shane Doan is the longest serving captain in the NHL – 12 seasons. He was named captain of the Coyotes in the fall of 2003. Zdeno Chara has second longest tenure at nine years (2006).

….In his 21st season, Doan is also the last active player from the original Winnipeg Jets; drafted 7th overall in 1995).

….Defenseman Chris Pronger is technically on the Arizona roster although he hasn’t played since 2011 because of concussion issues and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame recently. Acquiring Pronger and his 4.94 million dollar cap hit from Philadelphia allowed the Coyotes to get closer to the salary cap floor. Pronger still has another year remaining in that contract. As part of the deal they gave up FWD Sam Gagner and got D Niklas Grossman in return.

….Even with the Pronger salary, the Coyotes are 10.88 million under the league salary cap.

….Max Domi (Michael McCarron‘s former London junior linemate) leads the Coyotes with eight goals.

….Anthony Duclair (acquired from the Rangers in the Yandle deal) is second with 7 goals.
