Comets defenseman Andrey Pedan was penalized for boarding Michael McCarron at 1:20 of the 3-on-3 overtime period and a minute later Holloway rifled a 50 foot wristshot past Utica goaltender Joe Cannata to win the game.
Goaltender Eddie Pasquale had an excellent night. Through regulation time the IceCaps were outshot 30-13. The other St. John’s goal was scored by Angelo Miceli. Ashton Sautner scored for the Comets who are affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks. (Game summary and IceCaps season scoring stats below)
….This was the tenth consecutive game in which the IceCaps have picked up at least a point. During the streak they are 6-0-4.
