Don’t expect Michael Cammalleri ito be in  the Canadiens lineup this weekend. Don’t even count on him next week.

At best, he might have a chance of returning  when the club starts it’s Western Conference swing in Edmonton February 17th. Even that seems to be optimistic.

Cammalleri suffered a slight left shoulder separation when he was propelled into the boards after a check from behind by the Sabres Mike Weber early in the first period of the January 18th game in Buffalo. Including the overtime loss that night, the Canadiens are 3-1-2 in his absence.

Original estimates predicted Cammalleri would miss at least a month with the injury.  .

For the third time this week, Cammalleri skated today at the Canadiens Brossard training facility.  However, the injury prevents him from effectively shooting the puck or taking part in any scrimmaging.
