The Canadiens have returned defenseman Brendon Nash to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

With Hal Gill and probably James Wisniewski returning to the lineup along with the newly acquired Paul Mara, Nash became the eighth defenseman on the depth chart.

Nash played two games during his callup including his NHL debut against Buffalo last week. He was held off the scoresheet while averaging 10:12 of ice time per game.

Gill will be back with P.K. Subban in tomorrow’s defensive alignment. Yesterday at practice, Mara was paired with Roman Hamrlik. That would leave Wisniewski, if he’s available, alongside Yannick Weber and Alexandre Picard as the healthy scratch.  If Wisniewski plays, he will be equiped with a cage style facemask to protect his injured cheek.  Wisniewski did take part in today’s McMahon Stadium practice.
