If we are to judge by the uptempo Sunday practice inflicted on the Canadiens today, there’ll be some line changes for Tuesday’s game against Atlanta.  Again, the changes are being made in an effort to snap Scott Gomez out of his 23 game goalscoring drought.   To that end, Canadiens coaching is going to again try Mathieu Darche on the left wing with Gomez and Brian Gionta.  .

Every action has a re-action.  Moving Darche up changed the makeup of two of the other three lines.  The latest attempt to make a winger out of Lars Eller lasted one game.  He’ll be back at centre Tuesday between Andrei Kostitsyn and Travis Moen.  Jeff Halpern will join Tomas Plekanec and Michael Cammalleri.  The only line that has remained relatively unchanged in recent games is Desharnais/Pouliot/White.

The defense pairings remain the same.

After a rare Sunday practice, the coaching staff has given the team the day off tomorrow so there’s a good chance today’s lines are hold for gametime Tuesday night.

Here are today’s lines –

Darche-Gomez-Gionta

Cammalleri-Plekanec-Halpern

Moen-Eller-Kostitsyn

White-Desharnais-White
