The Canadiens announced their season schedules Thursday.  They will open Thursday October 6th in Toronto and then will open play the new Winnipeg franchise in their season opener Saturday October 9th in Manitoba.  They’ll open their home season vs. Calgary Thursday October 13th

The Canadiens will make their annual holiday trek with six games in six games in eleven days from December 19th to 31st.  The trip will wrap up with the traditional snowbird games in Tampa Bay and Florida on the 30th and 31st.  The swing will start in Boston, followe by Chicago, Winnipeg and Ottawa.  Their busiest months will be February and March when they will play 29 games in 57 days, 16 of them on the road.

December is the Canadiens most difficult month with nine games on the road on five at home.
