The Bulldogs beat the Texas Stars 3-1 Sunday afternoon to take a 2-0 lead in the AHL’s Western Conference Final series.  Ryan Russell, Alex Henry and Mike Glumac scored the Hamilton goals.    Brock Trotter recorded two assists.

The Bulldogs have now won four straight and six of their last seven games   Sanford has been in goal for all four games of Hamilton’s current winning streak after returning from injury..

Glumac extended his scoring streak to four games (4-1-5), while Trotter now has a point in his last three contests (3-2-5).  Trotter has 7 goals and 14 points in 14 playoff games.   Hamilton prevailed despite the fact that their leading playoff scorer David Desharnais (7-9-16) was held off the scoresheet for just the third time in 14 playoff outings.
