Watch For

RWAaron Palushaj will be making his fourth appearance.  He’s listed as one of three forwards on the bubble.  Although he has a goal and three assists in three appearances he has not yet shown the consistency needed to earn an NHL job.

63-Andreas Engqvist

C-Andreas Engqvist will centre Palushaj.  Will be making his sixth start.  Was credited with three hits in Thursday’s game against the Lightning and a total of eight in the four games in which that statistic was taken.  Still, the perception is he lacks a physical component to his game.  He has won 23 of 37 faceoffs – 62%.  He seems to be favoured to start the season with the team.

RW-Yannick Weber – The coaching staff seems to have given up on the idea of using Weber as a defenseman, at least for now.  He has not been very good in this camp.  This game may be his last chance.

RW-Erik Cole – It was presumed that he would be slotted on the Plekanec line. There may be a chemistry problem.  He’ll be tried with Desharnais and Darche for this game.  Kostitsyn goes back to Plekanec/Cammalleri.

D-Raphael Diaz – will be paired with Jaroslav Spacek.  Has improved game-by-game as he becomes accustomed to NHL-size ice.  Not likely to make the team ahead of Alexei Yemelin, who will sit this one out along with Jeff Woywitka.
