AULD WILL GET START TONIGHT-FLU BUG HITS (Updated)

it will be his first regular season start at the Bell Centre as a member of the Canadiens. With back to back games twice this week, Auld may get a second start on the weekend. In six appearances and five starts this season, Auld has a 3-2-0 record with a 1.74 goals-against average and a save percentage of .941.
Auld made three Bell Centre starts during the exhibition season, the last one a 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on September 30th. On that night he faced 37 shots.

The Canadiens practiced at the Bell Centre this morning and then caught their flight to Atlanta. The team is in a four game week and a stretch of five games in eight nights, so the Alex Auld start was predictable. In his only other game this season, Auld was a 3-1 winner at Long Island

AULD STARTS TOMORROW-MARKOV RETURNS SATURDAY

Friday night the Canadiens will have Alex Auld in their nets for the first time when the Canadiens play the Islanders in the second half of their home-and-home series. On Saturday, Andrei Markov will make his much awaited return to the Canadiens lineup, six months to the day after his knee was torn up in game one of the Eastern Conference semi-final against Pittsburgh. With his return to the lineup, the Canadiens will be carrying eight defencemen raising speculation of a possible roster move.
